Who we are

John Ruben Ltd is a family-run driveway, paving and groundwork company based at 15 Ormesby Drive, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire EN6 3EA, registered in England & Wales under company number 09504655. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, either through the enquiry form on this website, by email, or when you call us.

• Your name
• Your phone number and email address
• Your postcode, town and the address of the property the work relates to
• Details of the work you are enquiring about, including any photos you send us

Why we use it

We use your details to respond to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare and send an estimate, and to carry out and manage any work you go on to instruct. Our lawful basis is your consent when you submit an enquiry, and the performance of a contract once work is agreed.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without asking you first.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is necessary to deliver the service: for example with suppliers delivering materials to your address, or with our accountants and professional advisers where the law requires it. Any provider handling your data on our behalf is required to keep it secure and use it only for that purpose.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for up to 12 months. Records relating to completed work are kept for six years to meet accounting and legal obligations, then securely deleted.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies needed for the site to function correctly, together with any set by embedded third-party content such as the Google Map and the review widget. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some embedded content may then not display.

Your rights

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond within one month.
